ASEAD Sports Club established

Euroasia Socio-Economic Research Associaiton Sports Club has been established. Club colors are decided to be red and white. A cake cutting ceremony was held with the presence of club members and athletes.

 

At the ceremony, Prof. Dr. İbrahim ÖRNEK, the President of the Club, said that since sports activities are one of the factors that motivate academic studies, we wanted to be active in sports, as well, and started with the Traditional Turkish Archery branch, in a short period of time, we are going to include athletics, basketball and volleyball, and wish to endear sports not only to academicians but also to the Kahramanmaraş people. We thank to Director Cemil BOZ and the staff at Kahramanmaraş Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of Youth and Sports; the Traditional Turkish Archery Federation; Erhan UZMAN, the President of the Adana Traditional and Horseback Archery Association Sports Club and the Adana Provincial Representative of the Traditional Turkish Archery Federation; Mustafa MENGÜR, the President of the Maras Ok Youth and Sports Association Club and the Kahramanmaras  Provincial Representative of the Traditional Turkish Archery Federation.

 

Asst. Prof. Dr. Mustafa GUNALAN, The Director of Sport of the Club, said that the Club is going to target the activities for adults and youth; that we started with the Traditional Turkish Archery branch, in a short period of time, we are going to include several modern branches such as athletics, basketball and volleyball; and courses to be opened in these branches are going to help us educate athletes for the national team.

 

Tugrul AVCI, a licenced athlete at the Traditional Turkish Archery in the Club, thanked the Club Management for supporting the traditional sports branches and said that we are going to do our best to represent the Club and Kahramanmaraş at competitions.
